Hello! 안녕!

My name is Vera Yesel Park. I was born in South Korea but raised (and currently residing) in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I graduated from USC with a B.S. in Business Administration and have a background in mobile applications and education. I recently received my M.Ed in Learning, Design, and Technology at USC Rossier to combine my dedication for education and UX design. Working full time while also being a full time graduate student during the COVID-19 pandemic is a great indication of my work ethic.

Reflecting on my career choices so far, I realized the common thread among them was that I loved solving problems. I guess this was unavoidable, as one of my guilty pleasures all throughout my life was solving jigsaw puzzles.

This combination of my love for problem-solving and design brought me to UX design.

As a designer, I treat each piece of information I find as another puzzle piece in completing the giant puzzle.

I use an iterative process because there is always something to learn and improve upon.

When I am not solving UX problems, you can find me with my dog, Eggie, and my rabbit, Bori, out on the trails or just all over the Bay Area exploring - especially for food!

I absolutely love writing on a white board and sometimes, you will even find me in the classroom solving math problems with 2nd graders!

What others say about me!

"Put Vera in a room with a whiteboard and a problem to solve, and you'll come back to a solution that truly sparks joy in every sense of the word..........She truly cares about those she works with and for, and the empathy she puts into her work as a UX designer makes me hopeful about the future of our industry."

"Vera is one of the most hardworking person I know. She's constantly striving to go above and beyond what is required.....What I enjoy most about working with Vera is her attitude towards getting things done. She takes initiative and quickly jumps in fearlessly to approach any task or problem..... There is no doubt in my mind that Vera will be a great asset to any team she is on."
